Heather, Handcrafted by Heather
Heather is a life-long crafter who turned a passion into her business. She has been making stained glass crafts for over 15 years selling to friends and family and in the last 3 years at craft shows. With the onset of Covid in 2020, she switched her focus to making cloth face masks for friends and family. She worked really hard to find fabric and materials that made a comfortable and functional mask and they were a hit! She has sold thousands of masks online to every Province and Territory in Canada, 49 of the 50 states and countries all around the world. She has over 1000 5-star reviews and has expanded her online selling to lanyards, wine bottle bags, stained glass hamsas, ornaments, mezuzahs and custom glass items. If you can dream it, Heather can make it! https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/HandcraftedbyHeathr . While Heather now lives far away, you can still shop her Etsy shop.
Lisa Rose, Holy Wrap
Lisa is the textile artist who creates the ingenious linen Passover set in our Seder Box that respects the limited real estate on the seder table, but that’s only a small part of what she does.
For over 20 years Lisa Rose has been creating Judaic textiles. Her projects have included Torah Mantles, a chuppah, challah covers, and custom tallitot. For the most part, her work is commissioned and custom made. Each custom piece is based on a story or a meaningful aspect of the recipient of the work. You can reach Lisa at lisarosefox@gmail.com.
Oslynn Benjamin,
J-Cards
Oslynn is Ellen and Judy’s Arizona-based (but still Canadian) sister. One day back in 2008, while working at her temple’s Judaica shop and admiring some art prints created by another congregant, it struck her that they would make lovely backs for decks of playing cards. This thought grew into the idea of creating Jewish-themed playing cards. After receiving permission to use that art on the card backs, Oslynn designed and drew up the front images. Three years later, she had the images digitized and then printed by a custom-playing-card manufacturer. Only 750 decks are in existence... they are a VERY limited edition.
